For my fifth adventure I would like to talk about my experience going to my first Canucks game ever. It took place at Rogers Arena which is one of larger arenas in BC.
The Canucks are Vancouver’s NHL hockey team, and they host home games here every few weeks. The arena is easily accessible by transit through Stadium-Chinatown Station and is just 3 minutes away from the station.
Upon stepping foot onto the property, the outside atmosphere is already electric, with DJ’s playing music, hawkers trying to sell tickets, and just all the fans congregating on the concourse.

Going up the stairs to Gate 3, you are greeted by a security checkpoint which you must pass first. Once you pass through that checkpoint, you walk into the rotunda with various food, merchandise, and essentials like washrooms.

I decided to head to a restaurant called Catch+Carve which serves various land and seafood options. As I was hungry and had been able to obtain a discounted ticket, I decided to splurge a little bit. I purchased a lobster roll and a prime rib carved sandwich for $40 total. Other than the stale chips which came as a side, everything was delicious!

This ended up bringing my total for this game to $109 total including food.
After grabbing the food, I headed to my seat, which was in Section 110 of the lower bowl. This meant that I was really close to the action.

The game for that day was versus the L.A. Kings, and the Canucks ended up playing a solid game and beating them 4-1.
Other than the washroom lines being very long, and other small things like the seats being too close together, it was a good experience.
If you can get tickets for discounted prices like I did, it is definitely something worth experiencing at least once, no matter who they are playing.
